Make A Solar Boat
If you already have a boat equipped with an electric motor such as the Torqeedos that Humber Boats sells or perhaps a Minn Kota or MotorGuide and you are looking to extend your range or recharge in remote areas then Humber Boats has a solution for you.
If you don’t see what you need here, give us a call or email and we can come up with either a custom panel or other solution. For the Torqeedo Travel 503 and 1003, all you will need is either the 80 or 62 watt panel which simply plugs into the battery’s charge port. For the Cruise motor or to charge your boat’s house battery bank, you will need a charge controller in between the panel and batteries. A charge controller is simply a regulator which ensures that you will not overcharge your batteries as well as making sure power does not leak back into the solar panel.
