Charge Controllers
A charge controller regulates the amount of energy going to your battery bank. It allows the panels to work much like a battery charger in that when the batteries are fully depleted, the controller allows as much energy to flow to the batteries as the panels will generate. When the bank is 95% charged, the controller drops the energy flow to a trickle charge and then cuts the panels off completely once the bank is fully charged.
