12v to 24v Panel
Twin solar panels for both 12 and 24 volt applications!
To charge both a 12 volt and 24 volt battery bank, Humber Boats has the solution. Panels can be sold individually as one 12v panel or together with the wiring kit to connect both panels in paralell for 24v or 12v in series.
Our system is based on the 12 volt panel at left. You can purchase this panel on its own or join it with a second panel in series (positive to negative) for 24 volts or in paralell (positive to positive, negative to negative) for 12 volts but doubling your amperage.

12 to 24 Volt panel system.
The system includes two of the 12 volt panels plus our wiring kit to connect the two panels together in series to produce 24 volts for charging a Torqeedo motor or 24 volt Minn Kota 24 volt motors or if connected in paralell for 12 volts but doubling amperage output.
Series connection (24 volts)
Note that the positive terminal of the top panel is connected to the negative terminal on the lower panel. This is ideal for charging Torqeedo motors or 24 volt battery banks. Please note the measurements are identical to the 12 volt panel above, there are just two panels.

Paralell Connection (12 volts)
Here, the positive terminals are coupled with one lead coming out as are the two negagive terminals. This produces 12 volts but doubles your amperage output and halving your charge time for a 12 volt battery bank.

The 12 to 24 volt systems comes with all wires required for either connection. Note that the paralell photo shows an optional 6 amp charge controller.
