Cruise 2.0 & 4.0 Tiller

All new for 2012, the Cruise Tiller 2.0 now incorporates the same GPS technology found in the 503/1003 models.  The Cruise 4.0 is also now available as a tiller model!

The Cruise Tiller model is identical the CruiseR in every way with the exception of the tiller arm for manual steering. 

Best suited to fishing boats and larger dinghys.  This motor is very easily connected to a solar panel for all day gas free fishing with lots of battery left over for the ride home!

Available in short shaft (24.6″ from transom mount to prop center) and long shaft (29.7″).

The Cruise 4.0 R

48 Volts, so requires 4 deep cycle marine batteries or two Power 26-104 lithium manganese batteries.  Equal to a 9.9 hp gas motor.  189 pounds of thrust and weighs 39 pounds.

The Cruise 2.0 R

24 Volts, so requires 2 deep cycle marine batteries or one Power 26-104 lithium manganese batteries.  Equal to a 6 hp gas motor.  115 pounds of thrust and weighs 39 pounds.

How Far and How Fast with lead acid batteries?

The most common question we get is “How far and how long can I go”?  This depends largely on the battery you choose and to a lesser degree on your boat.  The measures below are based both on Torqeedo’s measurements and our personal experience using a standard lead acid battery.

Cruise 4.0 R

Full Thottle:  1.5 hours

Half Throttle:  3.5 hours

Quarter Throttle:  6 hours

Cruise 2.0 R

Full Throttle:  1.5 hours

Half Throttle:  8 hours

Quarter Throttle:  18 hours plus

And with the Lithium Power 26-104?

Cruise 4.0 R

Full Thottle:  1 hour 10 minutes

Half Throttle:  3 hours
