Being a lithium battery, the Power 26-104 will last three times longer than conventional batteries, up to 10 years! Over time, the Power 26-104 will save money when compared with gel or AGM batteries which typically have to be replaced every three years.

The integrated battery management system, or BMS, is in a class by itself. What this means for you is that the battery maintains itself by cell balancing, protection against overvoltage, overheating, deep discharge and even wrong polarity. What’s more is the Torqeedo Power 26-104 is uncompromisingly designed for marine use in that it it conforms to IP 67 standards meaning that it can be submersed in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes. No worries about water splashing on your battery!
While the Power 26-104 would appear to have a lower amp hour rating at 104, don’t forget that you can drain this battery to nothing with no ill effects on the battery. It has no memory, requires no maintenance and can be used in other applications, not just in boats. Any system which requires 24 volts can use the battery, or when combined with a DC to DC inverter, anyone can use the Power 26-104.
